Seattle embraces flexibility when it comes to setting up exhibits. Full-time employees of exhibiting companies have the freedom to set their own exhibits, as long as it can be done in less than half an hour without the use of tools or ladders. However, if additional labor services are needed, the local carpenters union steps in.

Here are the key points:

• You have the option to hire labor through your chosen Exhibitor Appointed Contractor, like Absolute I & D, or directly from the general contractor. Be prepared to provide proof of full-time employment status if requested by the Union Steward.
• Exhibitors can hand-carry their materials into the exhibit facility, but wheeled carts or dollies are a no-go. Loading dock access is under the control of the general contractor, and materials cannot be brought in through the docks by exhibitors.

Hours

Working Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Lunch: 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Overtime: Overtime applies outside the standard hours on weekdays, Saturdays incur overtime rates throughout the day.

Double Time: Sundays and holidays are compensated at double time.
